Leadership & Management- Managing and leading the manufacturing facility including production, maintenance, quality and planning departments, ensuring performance and duties are carried out the required standard.- Maximise/ Optimise production volumes in line with sales demand, ensuring key performance indicators such as direct cost, utilisation and quality standards are achieved.- Hold regular meetings with key personnel and Head of Departments to monitor, discuss and resolve challenges faced by the Team.- Preparing and reporting of monthly performance covering all areas of responsibility for the Group Operations Director – for discussions and improvement on operational efficiency.- Ownership on the preparation and management of Budget for the site.- Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience and abilities to ensure efficient completion of the project.- Managing the Team through sound recruitment, training/ identification of developmental needs of the Team members and execution of Performance Management programs with the support from Group HR and the Management.- Coach, lead and motivate the Team by developing and maintaining a Teamwork culture which reflects the Values of the Company.
Operational Excellence- Responsible to ensure production planning is carried out efficiently to fulfil sales orders and delivered OTIF per customer’s requirement, within the scope and budget.- Ensure material planning and purchase are done in both cost effective and timely manner.- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the manufacturing site which includes the plant and building against the annual budgeted expenditure.- Stringent checks on quality control, ensuring all products are manufactured to the designated quality specification and guidelines.- Monitor and track production progress with a keen focus on efficiencies and continuous improvement.- Ensure strict compliance and discipline with regards to H&S requirements for all Team members.- Establish, identify and develop new technologies in line with the company projects and objectives.
Qualification & work experience- Degree in a relevant field and/or evidence of professional experience within a process manufacturing environment.- Proven experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within a fast-paced manufacturing facility.- Sound knowledge of industrial/ manufacturing related equipment. Prior experience in polymer processing will be an added advantage.- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and solid people management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels- Ability to multi-task, prioritising and outstanding time management skills
